PROPERTY MANAGER: Mike Fish
Updated as of 12/16/2022: There are currently no known damage or defect issues with this property.
However, preparing for a trip can be stressful. There are so many things to do, and it’s hard to know what’s important. This article will provide three tips on how to prepare for a hotel stay.
Location: Look for a hotel that is close to the attractions you want to visit. You don’t want to spend your vacation walking or taking taxis everywhere.
Price: While you don’t want to scrimp on your accommodations, be mindful of your budget. There are plenty of hotels in every price range.
Amenities: Choose a hotel that offers the amenities you need or want. If you’re traveling with children, look for a hotel with a pool. If you’re on business, look for a hotel with a business center.
Once you’ve found the perfect hotel, it’s time to start packing.
You don’t need to bring everything with you, especially if you’re only staying for a few days. Make a list of the essentials and pack light.
There are a few things you’ll need no matter where you’re staying. These items include:
Many hotel rooms don’t come with basic items like shampoo and soap. To avoid having to buy these things at the hotel, bring them with you from home.
It is always a difficult decision thinking about what to pack, but as long as you include everything you could not bear to be without, you should be fine. This is in case you cannot obtain it easily whilst away on vacation.
The more you plan, the less stressful your trip will be. Be sure to map out your activities so that you can make the most of your time. Just as you would map out a route. This has been made easier, of course, because of sat-nav technology, as opposed to deciphering paper maps and them blowing away. Navigation is a reason to take your phone along, no matter how much it interrupts you. Just as free Wi-Fi in many hotels is a reason to have your laptop on vacation.
Before you book, be sure to read the hotel’s policies carefully. This will help you avoid any surprises during your stay. Also, this gives you a chance to query anything before you arrive, rather than waste your vacation complaining at the reception desk when you arrive.
When you arrive at the hotel, you should have in your mind or written down, what is supposed to be on offer at a hotel. Then you can take full advantage of all the amenities and services. Some of which you will be paying for, and others that are extra and chargeable but could make your stay more comfortable.
If the extra services are not obvious, you may need to ask. Many services may be within enclosed rooms. With a larger hotel, you may not happen to walk past the doors where they happen to see the signs. A concierge service is, however, good at making sure that you are making use of all the hotel facilities and can help manage your stay in other ways too by pointing out where you might want to visit.
By following these tips, you can be preparing for a hotel stay and make the most of your trip. Happy vacation and check out Cleveland on your travels!

Most guests appreciate and understand the general house rules. Let us know if you have questions. We all accommodate when we can.
SMOKING OR VAPING INSIDE
Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited. A guest who smokes in a property without authorization will be charged for carpet cleaning and deodorizing if any evidence of smoking is found.
Fireworks of any kind ignited on the property or beach. There is just too much clean up, accidental damage, and neighbor complaints to allow fireworks of any kind
PETS- Are not allowed at this property.
Illegal Drugs or other Illicit Activity
No drugs allowed on the property.
HARD TO CLEAN MESSES
Confetti, glitter, or other small debris thrown around the property make housekeeping very difficult and expensive.
LAKE, YARD, & BEACH DEBRIS
Any garbage or debris thrown in the lake or beach can cause environmental issue and severely impact our relations with neighbors.
UNATHORIZED GUESTS OVERNIGHT
Only registered guests can be on the property after dark. See the GUESTS section for more details.
KNIEGHBOR OR POLICE CALL
Avoiding a complaint or nuisance call by the neighbors or incident involved the police are the reason for all the other rules! The three most common calls we receive are for 1) too many guests 2) noise pollution 3) too many pets. PLEASE ask us if you have questions concerning any of the house rules. Of course, we take each individual situation into account and work closely with our guests to ensure fairness.
All of our neighbors have been given a cell phone number and asked to call or text 24/7 if they have issues. We know your coming to have a good time and that absolutely involves making noise. However, please be considered of our neighbors that must live next door. Quiet hours are 9 PM to 10 AM.
SELF TANNING LOTION
Self-tanning lotion is prohibited from the properties. It destroys towels and linens and permanently stains them.

The county license allows up one vehicle per bedroom. There can be no parking on a public road or in a yard. Please let us know if there is a need to make an exception. This is a common complain call from neighbors and we need to follow the rules.
USE OF AMENITIES
Only guests who are listing on the rental agreement and registered as guests are allowed to use any amenities
Docking & Tying a Boat
You are certainly welcome to bring a boat up and use the dock. However, it is VERY important if the weather is bad, or it gets windy to take it out. Leaving a boat tied to the dock can easily cause major damage to the dock etc. Any damage occurs by leaving a boat tied to the dock in bad weather the responsible guest will be responsible for all damages.
USE OF LIFE JACKETS
MN RE&M does not provide or manage watercraft of any kind. However, we do have some owners that have kayaks, canoes etc. on their property and allow guests to access them. We take on no liability of any kind for injures or death resulting in the use of these amenities. However, for guest safety we do require that life jackets are always worn when a guest is using water amenities. If it is brought to our attention via a neighbor that a guest is using a watercraft without wearing a lifejacket, we will ask that everyone stays off the water from that point on. The risk and liability are simply too high. Of course, the exception is playing and swimming on the beach. Please make sure you verify life jackets before your stay. Most owners have a lot for guests to use but check in if you have questions. Many guests bring their own to make sure they have enough and the right fit.
Note: Use of the beach and lake is at
your own risk!
MN Real Estate and Management & the property owners are not responsible
for accidents or injuries that guests may incur while renting the property.
Each guest must take responsibility for their own safety, behavior, and
actions. We accept no liability for accidents or injuries! Swim and boat at
your own risk! Please use caution, wear life jackets, and watch all children
closely at all times. There is an inherent danger that comes with swimming and
boating. No alcohol is allowed while guests are swimming or boating. If you
choose to use the lake you are doing so with the understanding that it is at
your and your groups own risk and agree to hold MN RE&M and the owners of
the property free from any liability that may result in an injury of any kind.
